This double-blind, placebo-controlled trial randomized 32 overweight or obese adults aged 55 to 80 to an oral beta-NMN formulation once or twice daily, or placebo, for 14 days, measuring NMN, NAD, and the NAD metabolome by mass spectrometry. The oral formulation was well tolerated and raised circulating NAD and related metabolites relative to placebo. It is one of the more rigorous human pharmacokinetic datasets on an oral NMN product. This is human safety and biomarker evidence, not a clinical outcomes study.

Oral NMN raised circulating NAD and metabolites vs placebo in adults 55-80; supports bioavailability conversations, though clinical outcomes remain unestablished.
